What It Is
Inlays and onlays restore teeth that are too damaged for a simple filling but too healthy for a full crown. With CEREC technology, your restoration is scanned, designed, and milled from solid ceramic while you wait — so what once took two weeks and two visits is completed in one.

What to Expect
Examination & Preparation
Step 1
Only the damaged or decayed tissue is removed. The surrounding tooth structure stays intact — that is the premise of an inlay or onlay over a full crown.
Digital Scan
Step 2
A digital scan of the prepared tooth is taken in under two minutes. No impression trays, no material to gag on, no mess. The scan feeds directly into the design software.
On-Screen Design
Step 3
Your restoration is designed on the CEREC screen. The margins, contacts, and occlusal surface are refined before anything is milled. You can watch this process.
Milling
Step 4 — ~15 minutes
The inlay or onlay is milled from a solid ceramic block in our in-house lab while you rest. The same building. The same visit.
Rubber Dam & Try-In
Step 5
Every restoration.A rubber dam isolates the tooth before bonding — the same protocol we use for every restoration. The ceramic piece is tried in, adjusted if needed, and surface-treated for bonding.
Bond, Polish & Done
Step 6
The restoration is permanently bonded to your tooth. Excess resin is removed, the surface is polished, and your bite is verified. You leave with the final restoration in place.
